Free Crochet Pattern Addition

Snow Drop Selma

This pattern is an add-on to Crocus Carla / Lalylala Seasons - Spring

What is an add-on? An add-on is a little additional pattern to a commercial lalylala pattern. Using the add-on you can modify the original amigurumi or add new parts to turn it into something else. You can't use an add-on without the original pattern that it's related to! Of course you don't necissarily need to use the add-on to modify crocus Carla. You can also decorate your Easter baskets with the early flowers without the flower bulb

Stem

Make a magic loop from green.

01. sc 4 into the magic loop (4)
02.-12. (11 rnds) sc 4
13. [inc] 4x (8)
14. inc, sc 7 (9)
15.-16. (2 rnds) sc 9
16. [dec, sc 1] 3x (6)

1 slst in next st, cut the yarn and close rnd invisibly. Weave in ends.

Petals

Join white with a standing sc into the back loop of a st of the last rnd of the stem.

01. [ch 10, starting in the 4th ch from hook: sc 7 along the chain, slst-blo 2 along the stem] 2x, ch 10, starting in the 4th ch from hook: sc 7 along the chain, slst-blo 1 into the next st at the stem.

02. [slst 2, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 2, hdc 1, °hdc 2, picot 1, hdc 2° into the chsp st at the tip, hdc 1, dc 2, hdc 1, sc 1, slst 2, sk 2] 3x

Cut the yarn, close rnd invisible into next st after skipping 2 sts for the last time in rnd 02. Weave in ends inside the stem.

Cup

Make a magic loop from white.

01. sc 6 into a magic loop (6)
02.-05. (4 rnd) sc 6
06. [sc 1, inc] 3x (9)
07. sc 9
08. [sc 2, inc] 3x (12)
09. sc 12

1 slst into next st, cut the yarn and close rnd invisible. Weave in ends.

Join green with a standing sc into a st of rnd 09. Take care to crochet every slst into back loop only and every sc through both loops as usual:

10. [slst-blo 1, sc 1] 4x, slst-blo 1

Cut the yarn and close rnd invisibly into the 1st stitch of the rnd. Weave in ends inside the cup.

Ribbon

Make a foundation chain of 11 ch from white. Still holding the last loop on the hook, insert hook into the center of the magic loop at the bottom of the cup coming out above the 1st rnd, slst 1.

Now along the foundation chain: slst 1 into each ch along the chain.

Cut the yarn, pull the end through the last st completely and knot the yarn ends together.

The ribbon that you have now attached to the cup will make the stem more stable once you will have pulled it into the stem.

Assembling

Thread a needle with the two yarn ends. Insert the needle into the center of the blossom, go all the way through the stem’s tube, coming out through the center of the magic loop at the bottom of the stem.

Pull the yarn tails to let the ribbon slip into the stem. With a crochet hook or a stick push the lower part of the cup into the extended part on the top of the stem.

Leaf

Make a foundation chain of 9 ch from green. Crochet long the chain, starting in 2nd ch from hook: slst 1, sc 2, hdc 2, sc 3.

Cut the yarn with a long rest and pull the end hrough the last st completely. Use the remaining yarn tail to sew the leaf onto the stem.

Finally, sew the flower on top of the flower bulb using the remaining yarn tails on the bottom of the stem.
